Little Tibet is located in the mountain kingdom of Gilgit-Baltistan. The region is also home to some of the world’s highest mountains including K2, Broad Peak and number of above 8000m and 7000m peaks while there are uncountable numbers of peaks up to 7000m high. The prominent Baltoro glacier leading to the hub of mountains and tributary glaciers also lie in the region.

Besides the region famous for being an interesting adventure playground, Skardu and surrounding valleys are also home to the alluring Tibetan. The Tibetan style architecture which flourished in the region and also exposed to the other areas in the form of architecture is a great attraction for visitors. Shigar and Khaplu, remained independent states under local princes until their accession into the state of Pakistan in 1974. Their heritages in the form of ancient forts and holy places are still alive while presenting an appealing story even today, even after renovation. Moreover, besides culture, seasonal variation displaying diverse and colorful natural setting in four distinct seasons is what attracts domestic and international tourists.
