Splendors of Kashmir
Kashmir – The Gateway to Paradise is a northern part covering the foothills of Himalayas including Jamgarh Peak (4734m). The productive, lush green, mountainous valleys are traits which make Kashmir, one of the most beautiful regions of the subcontinent. The climate is cool & pleasant due to rainfall both in winter & summer season in the region. The most charming and prominent valley of the region is “Neelum Valley” along which the Neelum river flows. It is named after the river Neelum which is famous for its crystal bluish water and that is the reason for its name Neelum. This green and fertile valley is 240 km in length and stretches its way from Muzaffarabad to Athmuqam and beyond to Taobutt. It is one of the most attractive tourists’ places, like Swat and Chitral. There are two entrances for Neelum valley: one from Neelum Road by Muzaffarabad and the other by Kaghan the Julkhad Road. The eminent places of Kashmir are Banjosa Lake, Pir Chinasi, Lohar Gali & Kutton. There are some other places, accessible by trekking, in which “Chitta Katha Lake” is one of the most astounding places ever in the entire region.
